Natural vs. Heat-Treated Citrine

Most Citrine on the market is actually Amethyst that has been heat-treated to turn orange-yellow. Natural Citrine forms when Quartz is naturally irradiated in the earth over millions of years — it's typically pale yellow to golden, sometimes with smoky undertones, and is found primarily in Brazil (particularly the Minas Gerais region) and Madagascar. Our Citrine is always labeled honestly.
